I wish to thank you for your continued support of the Northwest Folklife Festival. Since about 1980, and excepting one year when I was in Europe, I have attended Folklife every year. I typically attend all four days of the Festival, and I have performed and volunteered just about every year. Most years I have also contributed to the "Friends of Folklife" campaign. I have come to believe that Folklife is one of the best things about Seattle. Where else, in Seattle or anywhere, can one see so many different - *very different* - individuals enjoying themselves and having a great time? The incredible variety of music and dance defies description, and shows what a great melting pot our society truly is. There really is no other festival quite like this anywhere. Over the years, I have met many wonderful out-of-town friends at the Festival, and look forward to seeing them again "next year". I know that there are many visitors to Folklife each year that make it their one annual visit to Seattle, and they might not come here but for the Festival weekend. Folklife benefits from the generosity of the City of Seattle, and I encourage you to continue this support. The costs to the city are very small when compared to the wonderful benefits that Folklife brings to Seattle. Please join me at the Festival next weekend. Thank you! -- Mike Schuh
Thank you for the visit.
